Where were you born?
In Mexico City, Mexico
What made you decide to become a developer?
I was always curious about computers; my first one was a Compaq Presario with Intel Celeron and Windows 98, what I wanted was to figure out how the computer and the programs worked. I asked “Los Santos Reyes” (err) in a couple of programming books and I started with Turbo C. I got into a high school where the technical career was computer programming, the rest is history.
What brought you to CSW Solutions?
I was working at a company in Mexico City and decided to work with CSW because they offered me some things I hadn’t experienced: a challenge to learn new things every day, the opportunity to work with people with vast knowledge and experience in software developement (with .net and other technologies). I saw the opportunity to learn and improve my abilities with a global team.
Can you share one tool or trick that makes your life easier as a developer?
Fiddler. This tool allows you to track the request or response of AJAX request or Web API or WCF. Another trick is using the snippets and keyboard shortcuts of Visual Studio.
What is your favorite CMS and why?
Umbraco because it is easy to work with, it’s free and it’s based on .NET
What motivates or inspires you?
I’m always motivated by the desire to be the best and learn about a lot of things, not only computers things. My main motivation is to be recognized for my accomplishments and for leaving a mark on people.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
That I’m a pretty good driver, I like to drive a lot, it doesn’t matter if it’s a car, a motorcycle or a random truck, I love it.
How many cups of coffee do you consume in a day?
What beer do you currently have in your fridge at home?
Guinness, for those days as heavy as Guinness is.
